Fruit of the Spirit - Group Exercise 3

For developing personal study skills - this exercise is for determining the meaning of a passage. You could use the same set of questions and apply them to just about any cohesive passage of scripture.

Group Exercise

Read Psalm 121, work together to answer the following questions:

1. Why do you think God included this passage in the Bible?

2. Is there a new thought here - something you may not have realized previously?

3. Is there something here that is difficult for you to understand?

4. Look for and list any of the following: 

A sin to avoid

A promise to claim

An example to follow

A command to obey

An attitude to change

5. What did you learn about who God is & what He does?

6. From this passage, what is important to God?

7. Is there something in this passage that makes you love God more?

8. Come up with 1-2 lessons from this passage that are meaningful to you.
